Purpose-Built Distribution Warehouse in Gunnedah, NSW

Expressway Spares was expanding into the Gunnedah region and needed a purpose-built facility to stock and distribute their large range of mining equipment spares. TechSpan designed and manufacture a custom warehouse that was structured to work.

The Brief

Expressway Spares needed a large, 36 x 40m, warehouse to facilitate their expansion into the Gunnedah region. Expressway Spares specialises in mining equipment spares and needed a local facility to stock and distribute the parts in the Gunnedah area.

Our Innovative Solution

TechSpan’s innovative solution was a large 36 m clearspan structure, to allow for plenty of space inside. The design also included a mezzanine floor over offices in the building to expand the storage capacity and make the use of space more efficient. This also gives the client the option of creating double-storey offices as their needs change.

To make moving the larger parts more efficient, the design also included a column-mounted swing arm crane.

On the exterior, the design also included a large cantilever awning over the doorway for added weather protection.
