Partnering with a local commercial builder in Armidale NSW, TechSpan supported them in the design, manufacture and supply of a purpose-built heavy vehicle inspection station.

The Brief

The new armidale business park was a perfect place for a new Heavy Vehicle Inspection Station as it is situated right on the new england highway. Techspan were approached by a local commercial builder for the design and construction of the shed package, and delivered a very efficient solution to this purpose-built facility.

Our Innovative Solution

Our design outcome was to allow for the flow of heavy rigid vehicles thought the vehicle checking bay inside the building and back out on the street. Techspan assisted with the shed layout and location on the site to alow for this to happen efficently.

Slab and service pit design by Techspan meant that there was no need for the builder to involve any additional enginerres in the design process. Techspan covered the complete engineering package.

As a requirment of the local development controls there was a requirment for articulation in the external cladding of the building. we achieved this in a very cost effective manner using 2 Tone Wall cladding and a simple architecural awning to office.
